These types of protests are not new; In fact they are as old as the History of Humanity. The current protests are inspired by the suffrage movement, which more than 100 years ago also turned museums into the scene of its protests.
We respect all peaceful and constructive protests, but nothing will be achieved by trying to draw attention to a particular problem by attacking, and sometimes damaging and destroying, unique and priceless works of art. Authentic artistic, cultural and historical treasures that do not belong to a specific country or museum… belong to Humanity as a whole, and on which falls the obligation to bequeath them unscathed to future generations.
